WHERE WE TEACH

Online Quran Classes in the UK

Britain is the easiest country in the world for us to schedule. Our tutors sit two hours ahead of UK time, which means your after-school and evening slots land in their early evening — the hours they most want to teach. Nothing is squeezed into an awkward corner of anyone's day.

Classes are live, one-to-one, 30 minutes, with tutors who hold a verified Ijazah. Free 3-day trial, no card required.

Which class times actually work in the UK

Our tutors in Egypt sit two hours ahead of UK time for most of the year, so effectively every slot you would want is a reasonable hour for them. Tutors in Pakistan are four to five hours ahead, which suits UK mornings and early afternoons.

Your local timeYour tutor’s timeWho it suits
7:00 – 9:00 am9:00 – 11:00 amBefore work or before school. Wide availability.
4:00 – 6:00 pm6:00 – 8:00 pmStraight after school — the most popular UK window, and the one that books out first.
7:00 – 9:00 pm9:00 – 11:00 pmAdults after dinner and after Isha. Good availability.
Weekend morningsLate morningEasy to book — Friday and Saturday are the weekend in most tutor countries, but Sunday mornings are wide open.

The UK and Egypt change clocks on different dates in spring and autumn, so for about two weeks a year the gap is an hour different. We hold your slot to UK time and adjust on our side.

For your own city rather than the country average, the class time converter works it out from your device’s clock, daylight saving included.

Most UK families already have a madrasa. That is the point.

Britain has around 3.9 million Muslims — about 6.5% of the population in England and Wales — and in Birmingham, Bradford, Blackburn or east London there is almost certainly a madrasa within walking distance. So the question here is rarely access. It is what happens inside the class.

A typical UK madrasa runs five evenings a week in groups of fifteen to thirty. That structure is excellent at what it is for: community, discipline, Islamic knowledge, and the habit of turning up. What it cannot do is listen to one child's recitation closely enough to catch the difference between their qaf and their kaf before it becomes permanent.

Which is why the arrangement we see working best in Britain is not online instead of madrasa. It is madrasa for everything it does well, plus two or three online sessions a week for the individual correction a group of twenty cannot provide.

Female tutors, and the GCSE years

Two requests come up far more often from UK families than anywhere else.

The first is a female tutor for a daughter, especially from around age nine. Many local madrasas run mixed classes with a male teacher, or hold the girls' session at a time that suits nobody. We can match a female tutor at the same price as any other, and for most families this is the reason they looked online in the first place.

The second is keeping Hifz going through GCSEs and A-levels. Attendance at an evening madrasa is usually the first thing to go in Year 11. A 30-minute online slot that moves with the exam timetable is far easier to protect than a fixed trip across town five nights a week.

What it costs in the UK

roughly £24 – £64 per month

Plans are billed in US dollars ($30–$80), so your bank converts at the day's rate and most UK cards add around 2–3% on top. The pound figures here are approximate and move with the exchange rate.

Common questions from the UK

Can we fit classes around madrasa?
Yes, and most of our UK families do exactly that. Madrasa typically runs 5–7 pm on weekdays, so we schedule either a morning slot before school or a later evening one after you are home. Tell us your madrasa hours at the trial and we will work around them.
Are evening slots actually available, or only mornings?
Actually available. UK evenings are the easiest window we have anywhere in the world — 7 pm for you is 9 pm for a tutor in Cairo, which is a normal teaching hour rather than a favour. This is not true for American families, and it is the main practical advantage of being in Britain.
How much is it in pounds?
Roughly £24 to £64 a month depending on frequency. We bill in US dollars, so the exact figure depends on the rate on the day and most UK cards add 2–3% for the conversion. There are no other charges, and you can cancel at any time.
Can you teach during Ramadan and school holidays?
Yes. In Ramadan we move most UK families to a later evening slot after Taraweeh, or to the afternoon, and tutors expect this. Over half term and the summer holidays many families increase from two or three sessions a week to five, which is when the most progress happens.
